Fire engine

Modern fire engines carry firefighters and their equipment to fight fires and rescue people. Hose, tools, cutting equipment, breathing apparatus and first aid kit are kept in the lockers along the side of the fire engine. At the back of the fire engine there are large pumps where firefighters connect hosepipes, pumping water to fight the fire. There is a tank of water inside the fire engine but the fire brigade also use water hydrants to pump water inside the fire engine.
